New song La Raíz: El Tren Huracán

Three and a half years after the release of ‘Raíces’, La Raíz (ESP) is back with a new song in collaboration with Pau Barberà (Tashkenti): ‘El Tren Huracán’.

“El Tren Huracán (hurricane) is not a normal train, it’s a train that passes by just once in a lifetime, and when it is on its way it never arrives at a destination, it just keeps on going.”

With this new song La Raíz pays homage to the past years that they’ve been on this train. The video contains footage of the recording of the song and of their travels on their latest album tour ‘El Lado de los Rebeldes’ (2011).

La Raíz is a rising star in the Spanish mestizo scene. Hailing from Valencia, this 11-men strong band convincingly displays the talent of a new generation of mestizo artists. With performances at festivals such as Rototom Sunsplash, Marearock and Vestivern, and sharing the stage with names like La Pegatina, La Raíz leaves a lasting impression reaching well beyond the Spanish borders.

La Raíz will visit The Netherlands for a few exclusive concerts in the first week of May 2012. For booking requests contact stefan@groovmill.com.
