Keko Yoma

Keko Yoma is an independent band that combines rock, ska, latin rhythms, comedy theater and several typical American and Australian instruments, giving life to a powerful, energetic, funny and direct show. Their artistic proposal includes a visual and musical atmosphere, where the music itself is improved by a very potent body language, developing a recreational game between the audience and the band.

Keko Yoma was born in 2004. Since its inception the band quickly gained recognition in Chile, especially in Santiago and Valparaiso. In 2008 they released their first LP called ‘El más weon de los caminos… el disco’, with the participation of the Chilean producer Andrés Godoy. In 2010 the second album ‘Welcome to the South’ was recorded in Holland and Chile respectively.

With a history of 8 years, 7 international tours across 14 countries, 550 gigs, 2 albums and the participation in various festivals around the world, Keko Yoma has definitely earned their reputation as ‘true live sensation’. Now in 2013, after the band has performed at the renowned Lollapalooza Festival, toured in Colombia and is currently working on a third album, Keko Yoma will cross the ocean once again for their 7th European summer tour in July-August 2013.
